MUCC to play Otakon 2006

While this comes as the first time I’ve heard of MUCC, according to GoMo’s resident J-rock expert Codi, they are huge — making this a big announcement. The rockers will be in Baltimore for the 2006 iteration of Otakon (anime convention), which takes place August 4th through 6th.

TsuShiMaMiRe to play Chicago in May

The Scene’s favourite lady-rockers, TsuShiMaMiRe, will be making an appearance at Chicago’s AnimeCentral on the weekend of May 5 - 7, 2006. I’ll fill in some more details later on. But until then you can check out the con website or TsuShiMaMiRe’s official page.

HYDE adds Anaheim date

Hyde, who will be performing in San Francisco to a sold out crowd on July 6th, has added an earlier date, July 2, in Anaheim, California. He will be performing at House of Blues, and tickets are available at Ticketmaster.

KOTOKO to attend Toronto’s Anime North

Kotoko, who is also attending A-kon in Dallas, will be in Toronto on the weekend of May 26 - 28 for Anime North 2006.

Kumiko Kato is BACK!

Kumiko Kato returns to Houston for ShioKazeCon 2006 (April 28th) — where she will open for High and Mighty Color. Although her official site says nothing of her plans (nor of this show), we’ll keep you posted here!

PENICILLIN nano Live in Dallas

Penicillin nano, better known as the vocalst Hakuhei and guitarist Chisato of J-rock band Penicillin will be performing at A-Kon 17 in Dallas, Texas on June 10th, 2005. In addition to Penicillin nano, J-pop solo singer, Kotoko, will be performing.
