Let me bid you a fond welcome to the Velvet Room, my attempt at making an English support part for the wonder PlayStation JRPG Revelations : Persona. I've created the Velvet Room because I'm afraid that Persona won't get as much support as other RPGs, such as Final Fantasy VII, when it's just as deserving. It's fresh, it's different, and plain and simple, it's a wonderful game. While there are a few Japanese sites, there are currently none for English-speaking fans - a void which I hope to fill by doing this. the Velvet Room will deal more with the story and history aspects of the game, the secrets, the interesting tidbits, things like that. The reason for this is simple: if I provide a listing of all the weapons and their aspects, it's a cool thing, but how useful is it stuck on a screen? ^_^ (of course, I'll probably end up doing one anyhow.) This doesn't mean that the Velvet Room won't feature or cover those kinds of things, they just won't be our top priority and the only thing we feature. I want this site to cover everything about Persona, not just technical stats or a walkthrough. For the best Persona experience, not only should you check this website, but also download Henry LaPierre's wonderful FAQ, print that out, as well as purchase GameFan Book's Persona strategy guide when it comes out. I know, that sounds like a really pathetic attempt to sell you the book. But it's a really nice reference to have sitting next to you when you're playing, as it has full lists for all items, weapons, armor, maps for everything, everything that you should have sitting next to you while you play. And hey, I'm co-author of it, so I have to hype it. ^_^
This webpage is created for any and all fans of Persona out there. Whenver you have comments, question, suggestions, anything, please don't hesitate to send me mail. The more support and interaction I receive, the better this page will become. No matter how hard I try, I can never cover every area which should be covered on here by myself. The more people the caontribute to a cause, the stronger and better it becomes. So, I'd like to ask everyone out there to help out whenever you can. If there is something about Persona that you a great deal about, and we don't currently cover, or if you have artwork or sound files that you feel would be good to have on here, PLEASE let me know. When reading through the newsgroup, I'm blown away by the in-depth conversation I see concerning Persona creations and other technical sides of the game. I've never been a person who really ever could spend the time to play that much and get that deep into every aspect of the game. ^_^ My personal strength lies in more of the story and character aspect. Because of this, by myself I could never make a perfectly well-rounded website for Persona. If you've got something good to contribute, please do so, and I assure you that I always give credit where credit is due.
Finally, when looking through the Velvet Room, be sure to look everywhere and put your cursor over everything. Not all links may be obvious at first, and if a picture is small, there's usually a link to the full-sized version. In other words, just like in the game itself, do a little exploring. -_^
